One way to move towards a cyber resilient aviation industry, as stated by the World Economic Forum, is to enhance ecosystem-wide cyber resilience principles, which can be achieved through industry-wide collaboration. We are glad at CS GROUP as a global service provider of safety critical applications in Aerospace, Defense and Automotive industries, to have an opportunity to join forces with IATA to address such cybersecurity challenges in the aviation industry.
CS GROUP is proud to be supporting IATA in a feasibility study of potential ecosystem-wide cyber resilience framework to address the cybersecurity challenges in the aviation industry. A cyber resilient framework is being developed to support airlines and other aviation stakeholders to manage ever-evolving cyber threats. The proposed concept is intended to portray and quantify the shared cybersecurity risk with a possible impact on flight safety, across the aviation ecosystems and for respective stakeholders. Potential tools, as a companion artifact of the risk-sharing framework, used to communicate/exchange risk awareness among aviation stakeholders and across the supply chain are being evaluated.
“As a massive Digital Transformation is currently taking place in the civil aviation industry, it is imperative that we find the right tools, the right level of exchange as well as the means to communicate potential risks, across this ever-extending supply chain, for we all have to share the airspace, in this interconnected new ecosystem. Thanks to CS GROUP – Canada, to support us and joining us in this endeavour” says Manon Gaudet, Assistant Director, Aviation Cyber Security at IATA Montreal (YMQ).
‘’We are pleased to contribute to this prominent initiative that aims to address the cybersecurity risks of Air Mobility, which is now more relevant than ever. I would like to thank IATA for their leadership and collaborative approach, as well as our engineering team who worked with passion to deliver this project » says Amine Smires, Vice-President, Autonomous Systems at CS GROUP – Canada.
